Once again, Theatre of Dare is doing a dinner theater show!

The Off-ToDWay production of An Inspector Calls will be held upstairs at the Black Pelican Restaurant in Kitty Hawk. When purchasing a ticket, you'll have the option to buy a 'dinner and a show' or a 'show only' ticket.

'Dinner and a Show' tickets will cost $60 and include soup or salad, a choice of entree, dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage (alcohol can be purchased separately). Those purchasing 'Dinner and a Show' are encouraged to be seated by 6 p.m. (12:30 p.m. for the Sunday matinees) so there is ample time to eat before going upstairs where the play will be performed.

'Show only' tickets will cost $20.

Tickets go on sale December 19. Those purchasing 'Dinner and a Show' tickets will be contacted by a Theatre of Dare representative to ask for your entree choice so that the kitchen will be prepared for your arrival.

The action of the play occurs in an English industrial city, where a young girl commits suicide and an eminently respectable British family is subject to a routine inquiry in connection with the death. An inspector calls to interrogate the family, and during the course of his questioning, all members of the group are implicated lightly or deeply in the girl’s undoing. The family, closely knit and friendly at the beginning of the evening, is shown up as selfish, self-centered or cowardly, its good humor turning to acid, and good fellowship to dislike, before the evening is over.
